Rate per mile calculator
Is the load worth it? Put in what the broker pays and the miles. See the rate per loaded mile, the rate over every mile you drive including deadhead, and what is left after your cost per mile.
The rate per total mile is the honest number: every empty mile to the pickup costs fuel and time too.
How it is worked out
Rate per loaded mile = (load rate + extra pay) ÷ loaded miles. This is the number brokers quote and load boards show.
Rate per total mile = (load rate + extra pay) ÷ (loaded miles + deadhead miles). A $2.80 load that needs 200 empty miles to reach is really a lower-paying load; this shows how much lower.
Left after costs = load pay − (all miles × your cost per mile). If you do not know your cost per mile, the cost per mile calculator works it out from your truck payment, insurance, fuel and driver pay.
See this on every load, automatically
Haularo shows the rate per mile, the deadhead and the profit on every load you book, from your own costs.
